This past weekend I witnessed someone confronting an individual about a sin issue. For me, I run from the thought of confronting someone. I am a people pleaser and hate tense situations with all that is in me. But I learned something from sitting in on this conversation.

Speak the truth in love.

Be real.

Offer ways to get the help needed.

You really need to care for the individual you are confronting otherwise why are you doing it? Love seems to be the biggest thing. You can love the sinner. In fact that is what we are called to do. But, we don’t have to love the sin. (We do need to be aware, though, that we should hate out own sin.) What is your plan for the next time you have to confront an individual (adult or student)?
